South Carolina State Rep. Phyllis Henderson Joins Gov. John Kasich's Campaign as Adviser & Operations Coordinator
Today Kasich for America announced that South Carolina State Representative Phyllis Henderson has joined Gov. John Kasich's presidential campaign as an adviser and operations coordinator in the Upstate.
Said Henderson, "There's no candidate more accomplished or electable than John Kasich. He balanced the budget in Washington, he turned the economy around in Ohio and he has what it takes to bring Americans together. Here in South Carolina, folks are tired of candidates tearing each other down. John Kasich has really made an impact on voters in a very short time with his positive and inspiring message, and it's been exciting to watch. I look forward to working with the team on the ground to engage as many voters as possible before the primary election."
Henderson joins Gov. Kasich's campaign after serving as State Carolina State Director for Carly Fiorina for President. Prior to serving as an elected official in both the South Carolina House of Representatives and the Greenville County Council, she gained valuable campaign experience working on Bob Inglis' first congressional campaign and managing Jim DeMint's first successful campaign for the U.S. House in 1998. Henderson is deeply invested in economic development efforts in the Upstate, having served on the boards of Greenville Area Development Corporation, the Upstate Alliance and the Greenville County Planning Commission.
Said Kasich,"I feel very fortunate to have State Rep. Phyllis Henderson on board in this crucial time before the South Carolina primary. She knows the voters of the Upstate inside and out, and her unique campaign experience as both a campaign manager and an elected official is a major asset to us. We're building momentum at an incredible speed in South Carolina, and Phyllis will be a terrific partner in driving it forward in the Upstate."
