Republican Party of Minnesota Finalizes Presidential Preference Poll Ballot
(Minneapolis, Minn.) - The Republican Party of Minnesota released its ballot for the presidential preference poll to be conducted at its caucuses, Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Consistent with the State Party's Executive Committee decision to include all candidates still in the race as of February 22nd, the candidates who will appear on the ballot are Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, John Kasich, Marco Rubio and Donald Trump as well as a Write-In option.
Write-ins will be reported in the aggregate, and only if the number of write-in votes rises to the level of possibly earning a delegate would the individual write-in names be tabulated for purposes of delegate determination. Undecided and None will not be options on the ballot, and any ballot marked as such will be rejected as a spoiled ballot. Any ballot not clearly marked for one and only one candidate will be rejected as a spoiled ballot. Local districts at their discretion may use any one of the four recommended ballot styles below.
