NHDP Statement on Tonight’s FITN Republican Primary

Manchester, N.H. - After the results of New Hampshire’s First-in-the-Nation primary, New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley made the following statement:

"The selection of Donald Trump by Granite State Republicans spells disaster for Senator Kelly Ayotte, gubernatorial candidate Chris Sununu, and Congressman Frank Guinta, who will support their eventual nominee and his hateful comments and divisive ideas. Up and down the ballot, independent-minded Granite State voters will reject the Republican party’s extremist positions on issues ranging from defunding women’s health care to cutting Social Security, from denying action on climate change to taking us backwards on access to health insurance and marriage equality.”
