Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton to Kickoff Women for Hillary Phone Bank at House Party
Minnesota Women for Hillary To Hold Four Grassroots Organizing Events Across The State
Minneapolis, MN — Governor Mark Dayton will help kickoff a phone bank at a Women for Hillary house party tonight, one of the four Minnesota Women for Hillary grassroots organizing events taking place tonight across the state. At the events, the Governor, volunteers and supporters will talk to friends and neighbors about why Hillary Clinton is the tenacious fighter that we need in the White House, and encourage Minnesotans to caucus for Hillary on March 1st.
Hillary Clinton has spent her entire career advocating for and delivering real results for women, children and families. As President, Clinton is committed to fighting for paid leave for workers, which would allow Minnesotans to take time off for a new baby or to care for a sick relative without losing their paycheck or their job. Last week Clinton came out in support of Governor Mark Dayton’s paid parental leave proposal. Additionally, Clinton has repeatedly spoken out against Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood and restrict women’s access to health care. She is proud to have the support of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and NARAL Pro-Choice America.
“From equal pay to affordable child care and paid leave - Hillary Clinton has fought for it all when it comes to making life better for women and families,” said Women for Hillary volunteer Judy Schermer. “There are a lot of women in South Minneapolis who want to repay the favor and fight for Hillary. We know in our heart of hearts, no one can make more of a difference for the people that need it the most than Hillary Clinton.”
