Michigan Political Veteran Chuck Yob Joins John Kasich's Presidential Campaign
Today veteran Michigan political advisor and former Republican National Committee member Chuck Yob announced that he has joined Gov. John Kasich's presidential campaign as a State Co-Chair.
Said Yob, "I've been in this business a long time, and you don't see a candidate like John Kasich come along too often. He easily has the best resume in the field— balancing the federal budget, cutting taxes more than any other sitting governor, 18 years of national security experience— and to top it all off, he has a message of optimism and unity that is getting through to voters. I'm really looking forward to engaging Michigan voters on his behalf."
Yob, a Michigan native, is a former Republican National Committee member and a former candidate for Congress. Since he got his political start as a campaign manager for a state representative race in 1970, he has held multiple prestigious political offices, including Co-Chairman of the Michigan Reagan campaign in 1980 and Co-Chairman of the George W. Bush reelection campaign. He has earned a national reputation for his expertise in the arena of Republican politics.
Said Kasich, “Chuck Yob is a Michigan legend. He knows our neighbor state's politics better than just about anyone, and I'm so grateful for his willingness to put his vast expertise to work for our campaign. There is no one who could be a better asset as we expand our ground game and move forward."
