Marco Rubio Campaign Files For Indiana Ballot With Volunteer Led Effort Collecting 8,000 Signatures
Today, the Marco Rubio for President campaign is proud to have announced that the campaign has filed for the ballot in Indiana with over 8,000 signatures, all collected by volunteers.
Without having to pay anyone to collect a single signature, Marco will qualify for the Indiana ballot thanks to the help of volunteers working hard for Marco. As the Rubio campaign is prepared to compete in all 50 states with strong organizations, volunteers excited about Marco's vision for the country will play a critical role in helping him during Indiana's primary on May 3.
“This is further evidence of the momentum of the Rubio Campaign in Indiana," said Rubio state co-chair Tom John. "In a time where many candidates hire outside firms to gather the signatures to place their candidate on the ballot, this initiative was done solely with members of the Rubio campaign and scores of volunteers that visited hundreds of events around the state and knocked on thousands of doors. The stunning success of this initiative shows the grassroots momentum around Marco’s campaign to lead us into the New American Century.”
“I have been elated to see the number of millennials who have rallied around Marco’s positive message for the future and it showed in this effort,” said state senator Carlin Yoder, one of Rubio's Indiana co-chairs.
Rubio's Indiana co-chair state representative Cindy Ziemke said, “this has been a great campaign so far and we are just getting going. I am proud to be joined by my colleagues Representative David Frizzell, Representative David Ober, Representative Casey Cox, and Representative Holly Sullivan in endorsing Marco for president and working to get him elected.”
