Hillary for America Raised $15 Million in January, Began February with $33 Million Cash on Hand
Today, Hillary for America (HFA) filed its February monthly FEC report covering the month of January. The report shows that HFA began February with about $33 million in the bank after raising more than $15 million in primary contributions in January, thanks to 70,000 new contributors for the month. Part way through February, Clinton now has more than 750,000 contributors.
“We’ve seen a surge of grassroots donations that are powering this campaign and ensuring that we have the resources we need to win a competitive primary and be prepared to take on the Republicans in November,” said Hillary for America Campaign Manager Robby Mook. “We’re grateful to the thousands of new grassroots donors flooding into this campaign every day who are standing up to help elect a president who can make a real difference for families and build on the progress we’ve made under President Obama.”
Clinton brought in $15,131,497.06 in primary donations through Hillary for America and the Hillary Victory Fund (HVF) in January of 2016. Additionally, she raised about $5 million for the DNC and state parties across the country through the HVF.
Clinton raised roughly $4.2 million in January in contributions of $200 or less (unitemized directly raised to HFA and unitemized allocations from HVF), and more than 60 percent of the campaign’s contributions for the month were from women. The average donation in January was about $62 and 98 percent of donations were for $250 or less.
