Female Leaders to Host Organizing Meeting, Launch ‘Mankato Women for Hillary’
State Sen. Sheran: Clinton “is substantially more capable to be President than any other candidate”
Mankato, MN — Tonight, State Senator Kathy Sheran, Gwen Walz, wife of Congressman Tim Walz, prominent local women, and volunteers will launch ‘Mankato Women for Hillary’ – a network of female Democratic leaders supporting Hillary Clinton for President – a grassroots organizing meeting. Attendees will share personal stories as to why they believe Clinton is the best choice for Democrats ahead of the March 1 caucus and urge voters to get engaged in the campaign.
“In Hillary Clinton we have a candidate who is substantially more capable to be President than any other candidate, on any other stage” said State Senator Kathy Sheran. (SD 19). “Her life's work has revolved around protecting women and families. And she will be a powerhouse against big money interests that care solely about profits, not people. We are experiencing a rare moment in history when competency, resilience, compassion, and expertise are embodied by one candidate, who happens to be a woman named Hillary Clinton.”
“Hillary Clinton understands what needs to be done to improve the lives of women in Mankato, and across the state,” said Gwen Walz. “Furthermore, Hillary has the experience to make her ideas our realities—from affordable child care to equal pay, she’s going to be the one to get it done.”
Following the meeting, volunteers will sign up to phone bank and door knock for Hillary Clinton leading up to the March 1st caucus.
