Rand Paul Returns: Loud and Proud
DES MOINES, Iowa - Tonight in Iowa we saw what real conservative reform looks like outside of the media circus that surrounds Donald Trump. At Drake University, Sen. Rand Paul showed how conservatism can appeal to everybody and create a winning coalition.
While taking his rightful place on the main debate stage, Sen. Paul articulated a vision that can balance the budget, unleash the economy for American workers, and support our national defense without undermining our civil liberties and the Constitution. He also proved that he is the only candidate willing to talk about criminal justice reform and protect the rights of all Americans.
Throughout the night Fox News kept showing videos of different Republicans being hypocritical. They didn't have a video on Rand Paul because-- as Sen. Rubio pointed out--- he believes what he says.
Senator Paul believes what he says because he follows the principles that made our nation the envy of the world. He doesn't need to stare at his sheet on the podium to remember that the American people-- not the working of politicians--are what keep our nation exceptional.
On February 1st, Iowans are going to have to make a choice, and Rand Paul believes they will choose liberty over fear mongering and demagoguery.
