RNC Statement On The Democrat Debate In Charleston
WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement at the conclusion of the Democrat debate in Charleston, South Carolina:
“Tonight’s debate featured Hillary Clinton, dogged by an FBI investigation and plummeting poll numbers, jolting to the extreme left to compete with a socialist senator from Vermont.
“At a time when concerns over terrorism are at their highest point in years, all three candidates omitted any mention of national security or foreign policy from their top three priorities. Not content with Barack Obama’s legacy of a toxic Iran deal and the rise of ISIS in the Middle East, Democrats doubled down on the extreme and failed policies of the current administration, despite the fact Americans are desperately looking for a new direction that will only come with Republican leadership.
“Tonight only reinforced why we need to send a Republican to the White House, and that Hillary Clinton and the Democrats don’t have the ideas to keep America safe and prosperous."
