Minnesota DFL Adds Staff Ahead of 2016 Election
The Minnesota DFL is pleased to announce the hiring of three new employees. Michael Crusinberry as the 2016 voter file manager, Clare Verbeten as the deputy training and party affairs director, and Lindsay Jacobson as executive assistant to the chair. With these new hires, we are increasing our capacity to support strong candidates and further our commitment to build a 21stcentury state party that has the human and technical resources to elect DFLers across our state.
Crusinberry has worked on progressive campaigns the last four years. In 2012 Crusinberry worked on President Obama re-election campaign organizing in Northern Minnesota. In 2014 Michael served as the deputy field director for the DFL coordinated campaign. Crusinberry is thrilled to rejoin the DFL and use his previous experiences to improve one of the most sophisticated voter files in the country.
Verbeten, a recent college grad from Roseville, has extensive experience working in Minnesota politics. A former DFL intern, Verbeten worked with womenwinning on Rep. Peggy Flanagan’s successful campaign. Last year, while studying in Washington, D.C., Verbeten was part of the Voter Expansion Department at the Democratic National Committee.
Jacobson received her B.A in political science from Winona State University. After graduation, Jacobson moved to Houston, TX, and worked in hospitality management. She returned to Minnesota to work for the Boy Scouts of America assisting volunteers and helping to shape America’s youth.
DFL Chairman Ken Martin released the following statement:
“I am delighted to welcome Michael, Clare and Lindsay to the DFL and look forward to working with them during this upcoming election season. I know these three will join our staff in its mission to elect the next Democratic president, win back the Minnesota House and take the open seat in the Second Congressional District. Lindsay, Clare and Michael bring the passion and experience we value at the DFL and I couldn’t be happier to have them join the team for this election.”
