Mike Huckabee Statement on Possible North Korea Hydrogen Bomb Test
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee released the following statement in response to the North Korea's announced testing of a hydrogen bomb.
"Let's hope the story about North Korea’s nuclear testing of an H-bomb turns out to be nothing more than another hollow boast from North Korea's mega-maniac dictator with the funny haircut. But true or not, this is the sort of threat that many feared was inevitable once we started allowing an aggressive rouge state to develop nuclear reactors "for peaceful energy purposes," with assurances that UN inspectors would prevent them from ever weaponizing that program. Another reminder why the Iranian deal is unacceptable because this is what happens when state sponsors of terror and aggression get weapons they are not mature enough to handle.
Sadly, we’re to this point because a Republican-controlled Congress inexplicably granted this President the unchecked power to negotiate for this nation. Congress got rolled again and let Iran follow North Korea down the nuclear road. As president I restore foreign policy that will ensure our enemies fear us and our allies trust us."
