Marco Rubio Qualifies for Illinois Ballot With 100% Volunteer Effort Collecting Signatures
Today, the Marco Rubio for President campaign filed for the statewide ballot and delegate slates in Illinois.
With the help of over 400 volunteers in Illinois collecting signatures, Marco qualified for the ballot without having to pay anyone to collect a single signature. Unlike other campaigns, 100 percent of Marco Rubio for President's ballot access signature efforts have been volunteer based. It's a sign of organizational strength and thriftiness that will get Marco on every ballot using only volunteers.
“I am proud and honored today to stand as a delegate for Senator Marco Rubio. He represents the best and brightest of what America has to offer,” said Congressman LaHood, one of Marco's Co-Chairs in Illinois. “Senator Rubio’s uplifting plan to create good paying 21st Century jobs will ensure more people are able to achieve the American Dream. Marco is a transformational leader, with a bold vision for a New American Century. I am proud to be a part of his team, and I look forward to representing him as a delegate.”
"It tells the story that some 400 volunteers secured Marco Rubio's place on the Illinois primary ballot. He is a candidate who can unite Republicans and inspire the next generation of conservative leadership in America," said Sen. Mike Connelly, one of Marco's Co-Chairs in Illinois.
Joining Congressman LaHood and State Senator Connelly, the Rubio delegate list is packed with solid conservative leadership credentials. Across the state, legislators, mayors, county officials, community activists, and grassroots leaders are joining together to help Rubio win the Illinois race.
With the help of volunteers knocking on doors, collecting signatures, and sharing Marco's optimistic message for our country, Marco has now qualified for the ballot in 46 states, and is on track to be on the ballot in every state and territory.
