Marco Rubio Expands Leadership Team In North Carolina
Today, Marco Rubio's North Carolina Co-Chairs, State Senator Andrew Brock and State Representative Jason Saine, announced that three former North Carolina GOP Chairmen -- Former Congressman Robin Hayes, Former Mayor of Raleigh Tom Fetzer, and Former GOP Chairman Farrell Blount -- have joined the growing North Carolina leadership team. Marco will be in Raleigh, North Carolina tomorrow afternoon rallying with supporters.
"We're thrilled to see more and more North Carolinians inspired by Marco's message, and are happy to announce an addition two conservative co-chairs to help lead our efforts in the state - Former Congressman Robin Hayes and Former Mayor of Raleigh Tom Fetzner," said State Senator Andrew Brock.
"Our growing team and efforts in the state reflect a swelling of support for Marco in North Carolina," State Representative Jason Saine said. "Our momentum will continue to grow, and we're excited to host Marco in Raleigh on Saturday."
"Marco Rubio is a proven conservative who believes that America's best days lie ahead of us, and I am proud to serve as Chairman of his North Carolina effort," Former Congressman Robin Hayes said. "As Marco continues to meet with North Carolinians, I am confident that they will be drawn to his hope and optimism and inspired by his plan to keep our country safe and help working families. I stand ready to help elect this next generation conservative to President of the United States."
"Marco knows firsthand the struggles that working families face everyday, and he has laid out an effective plan to ensure that North Carolinians will not be saddled with debt and high taxes coming out of Washington. I am proud to help lead his efforts in North Carolina and am confident that as President he will ensure that each of us has a better tomorrow," said Former Raleigh Mayor Tom Fetzner.
"North Carolina is looking for a leader with conservative credentials and optimistic vision, and Marco Rubio is the answer," said Former GOP Chairman Ferrell Blount.
Hayes served five terms in the House of Representatives. Fetzer served three terms as Mayor of Raleigh, was the first Republican elected mayor in Raleigh, and as GOP Chairman, led the GOP takeover of both the House and the Senate for the first time since 1870.
