IDP Launches New Webpage to Help Iowa Democrats Prepare for the Caucuses
Website Includes Caucus Locator Tool that Allows Iowans to Easily Find Their Caucus Location
DES MOINES – The Iowa Democratic Party today unveiled a new webpage, www.iowademocrats.org/caucus, to help Iowa Democrats prepare for the 2016 caucuses. The new webpage is complete with essential information Iowa Democrats need for the 2016 caucuses, including a caucus locator tool that enables Iowans to easily find their caucus location by inputting their address.
“The caucuses are one of our great traditions here in Iowa, and the IDP, along with our great chairs and volunteers, has been hard at work for many months now to ensure the 2016 caucuses are a success. This new website is another important step in making sure our caucus process runs smoothly,” said IDP Chair Dr. Andy McGuire. “One of our priorities is to empower Iowans with the information they need at their fingertips to be ready to participate in their caucus – and this webpage helps us accomplish that goal. We are looking forward to a great caucus night on February 1.”
The new website is complete with the following information:
About the Iowa Caucuses: Includes background information on what the Iowa caucuses are and why the caucus process is important.
How to Caucus: Includes important information on the caucus process, who can caucus and what to expect on caucus night.
Where to Caucus: Includes the new caucus locator tool to enable Iowans to easily locate their precinct location.
Caucus Expansion Initiatives: As part of the IDP’s work to make the caucuses more inclusive, the party this year for the first time ever will run both satellite caucus locations and a Tele-Caucus. Iowans can learn more about these initiatives and how they will help make the caucus process more inclusive.
In the weeks ahead, the IDP will update this webpage with additional content and resources that will help Iowans prepare for the First-in-the-Nation caucuses.
