Ted Cruz for President Launches New TV Ad in Iowa “Win” Securing our borders and stopping illegal immigration is a matter of national security
HOUSTON, Texas – Today the Cruz for President campaign announced a new TV ad, “Win,” highlighting Cruz’s proven record of opposing amnesty, fighting to secure our borders and protecting Americans at home and abroad.
“Win” features Cruz’s promise, if elected President, as a national security priority, he will secure our borders and destroy ISIS.
Ad Script: Cruz for President
“Win” TV: 30
CRUZ: Securing our borders and stopping illegal immigration is a matter of national security.
That's why I fought so hard to defeat President Obama and the Republican establishment's Gang of 8 amnesty plan.
Their misguided plan would have given Obama the authority to admit Syrian refugees, including ISIS terrorists.
That's just wrong.
When it comes to radical Islamic terrorism I think we need to rediscover Ronald Reagan’s strategy: We win, they lose.
Donations to Sanders’ People Powered Campaign Top 2 Million
WASHINGTON – Sen. Bernie Sanders’ supporters have made presidential campaign history by donating more than 2 million times to his campaign for the Democratic Party nomination.
“Over 2 million contributions have been made to the only campaign that rejects a corrupt campaign finance system,” Sanders says in a television and Internet advertisement entitled People Power. “You can’t level the playing field with Wall Street banks and billionaires by taking their money,” Sanders adds in the new message.
In a statement, Sanders thanked his supporters. “What our vision of a political revolution has already accomplished is to show that we can run a strong and we believe winning campaign without a super PAC, without contributions from millionaires and billionaires,” Sanders said. “We are enormously proud that we have received more individual contributions at this point in the campaign than any candidate who is not an incumbent president. As the campaign continues to succeed, we expect those numbers to grow exponentially.”
More than $3 million was raised since an online push was launched on Monday to top 2 million donations. Of that total, about $1.6 million has been raised since Wednesday alone.
The average donation to Sanders this week has been about $20 as many of the more than 800,000 donors were showing their financial support for a second or third time. Just 261 Sanders backers have given the maximum allowable contribution of $2,700, accounting for a mere 1.7 percent of his campaign's total reported money raised. That’s a sharp contrast to Hillary Clinton’s 17,575 maxed-out donors, whose donations accounted for almost 62 percent of her money raised, according to Federal Election Commission records for the first three quarters of this year.
No other candidate who is not a sitting president ever received 2 million donations by this point in a White House campaign. Then Sen. Barack Obama had surpassed 1 million donations to his first campaign for president by the time of the 2008 Iowa caucuses. In his run for a second term, reports indicated Obama receiving around 2.2 million contributions by the end of 2011, a figure Sanders still could surpass.
New Rand Paul TV Advertisement: Learn from Mistakes
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rand Paul for President today released a new advertisement highlighting the need for a conservative realist foreign policy in which our nation's leaders learn from mistakes we have made in the past, and secure our borders. This advertisement contrasts Senator Paul's views on national security with that of fellow senators and Republican Presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.
Unlike Senators Cruz and Rubio, Rand Paul has always fought to defend our borders and protect our American interests.
The advertisement will begin airing on Monday, December 14th, prior to the CNN Republican Presidential debate.
TRANSCRIPT: Voiceover: Iraq... two thousand five. Hundreds of Americans had been killed in roadside bomb attacks.
And six were killed in attacks linked to al Qaeda terrorists, Waad Ramadan Alwan and Mohanad Shareef Hammadi.
A sniper and bomb maker, Alwan bragged he ate Americans for "lunch and dinner."
Kentucky... two thousand and nine.
Alwan and Hammadi were welcomed into America by the federal government, given public housing, and public assistance... as refugees.
Here, they attempted to send heavy arms to al Qaeda and plotted an attack on an Army captain in America.
And yet, some refused to learn from mistakes...
Senator Ted Cruz: We have welcomed refugees -- the tired, huddled masses for centuries. That's been the history of the United States. We should continue to do so.
Senator Marco Rubio: Well, we've always been a country that's been willing to accept people who have been displaced, and I would be open to that...
Voiceover: But Rand Paul sounded the alarm...
Sean Hannity: It is almost a certainty, ISIS will infiltrate. Why would we take one of these people?
Sen. Rand Paul: Well, you know, this is one of the reasons I opposed Rubio's bill originally on immigration, because I didn't think there's enough scrutiny for those who might come and attack us.
Voiceover: Rand Paul wrote the amendment to suspend visas to nations with high risks of terrorism... but Marco Rubio voted "no."
Rand Paul is leading the fight to stop terrorism at our borders and protect Americans first.

Barack Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton couldn’t get the words out of their mouth: Radical Islamic Terrorism.
Don’t allow these folks to intimidate you and I can guarantee you they will not intimidate me.
If we don’t protect each other, no one else will.”
This morning, the Marco Rubio for President campaign released a new television ad that will begin airing in Iowa and New Hampshire. In the ad, Marco shares how this election is about the essence of America.
The ad will begin airing Tuesday in select markets in Iowa and New Hampshire.
MARCO RUBIO: This election is about the essence of America. About all of us who feel out of place in our own country. A government incredibly out of touch and millions with traditional values branded bigots and haters. This is about wages growing slower than the cost of living. A generation drowning in debt, and a president humiliated by Putin, Iran, and Islamic jihadists. I'm Marco Rubio. I approve this message because this is about the greatest country in the world and acting like it.
BURLINGTON, Vt. – U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ record in Burlington City Hall and Congress is featured in a new television ad slated to begin airing Friday in media markets throughout New Hampshire and Iowa.
Another ad features Vermont dairy farmer Eric Paris talking about how the senator is viewed in his home state, where Sanders won re-election to the Senate two years ago with 71 percent of the vote.
In the 30-second TV ad filmed in Vermont, Paris says Sanders is “a well-known friend of family farms” who “cannot be bought out by big money.” At his farm near Lyndonville, Vermont, Paris also says, “It's time for our next president to go in there, roll up his sleeves, take off the gloves, and take on Wall Street, big business, take on big money, and get the working class back to where they should be.
“He’s a rock,” Paris says of Sanders.
Another 30-second spot calls Sanders “a consistent, practical and effective leader.” The ad looks his tenure in Burlington, Vermont, where he served for eight years as one of America’s best mayors, according to U.S. News & World Report, and “governed as a pragmatist,” according to The New York Times.
The ad also spotlights Sanders’ record in Congress. It cites The Almanac of America Politics description of Sanders as “a practical and successful legislator.” It says he passed more amendments in a Republican Congress than any other member and has been, according to The Daily Beast, “one of Congress’s most successful brokers.”
Saying that Sanders “cracked the gridlock” in Congress, the list of legislative accomplishments includes Sanders’ success last year in working with Sen. John McCain of Arizona to strengthen health care for veterans. The bill signed by President Barack Obama included a big boost in funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs to hire more doctors, nurses and other health care professionals.
In New Ad, Clinton Pledges to 'Fight Back' Against Rising Prescription Drug Costs
As part of Hillary Clinton’s commitment to helping middle-class families deal with rising costs, Hillary for America's latest TV ad, "Doubled", highlights Clinton's plan to lower out-of-pocket expenses related to prescription drugs. At a time when, as the ad notes, seven out of ten Americans are taking prescription drugs, those drug prices have doubled.
Clinton’s plan would require Medicare to negotiate lower prices, allow people to buy less expensive drugs from places like Canada, and cap monthly drug costs for all Americans.
“The drug companies have been overcharging for far too long. It’s time we fight back,” says Clinton in the ad.

Marco Rubio Campaign Releases New TV Ad, "Because"
"Faced with a rapidly changing and uncertain world, our generation rose to face the great challenges of our time... Because we did, our children and theirs lived in a New American Century."
Today, the Marco Rubio for President campaign released a new television ad that will begin airing in Iowa. In the ad, Marco shares how this election is a generational choice. One in which, this generation has to decide between the failed leaders and ideas of the past, or conservative leadership with the vision for a New American Century.
The ad will begin airing today in select markets in Iowa.
MARCO RUBIO: This election is a generational choice about what kind of country we will be. And before us now is the opportunity to author the greatest chapter yet in the amazing story of America. But we can’t do that by going back to the leaders and ideas of the past. We must change the decisions we are making by changing the people who are making them. The final verdict on our generation will be written by Americans who have not yet born. Let us make sure they record that we made the right choice. That in the early years of this century, faced with a rapidly changing and uncertain world, our generation rose to face the great challenges of our time. And because we did, there was still one place in the world where who you come from does not determine how far you go. Because we did, our children and theirs lived in a New American Century. Thank you, God bless you, God bless the United States. I'm Marco Rubio and I approve of this message.
