
Former Ohio State Sen. Nina Turner to Visit Iowa on Behalf of Bernie Sanders’ Presidential Campaign on December 11-12, 2015
DES MOINES, Iowa -- Former Ohio State Sen. Nina Turner on Friday kicks off a two-day swing through Iowa on behalf of Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign. Turner, a champion of voting rights, racial justice, pay equity and a host of other issues, is scheduled to make stops in Davenport, Muscatine, Anamosa, Iowa City and Des Moines.
Sen. Turner endorsed Sanders ahead of the second Democratic debate in Des Moines, Iowa, citing his outspoken positions on voting rights and wage issues. “I'm very attracted by his message and his style and that he has held pretty much strong on his beliefs and the world is catching up with him,” said Sen. Turner.
