Martin O'Malley Becomes First Candidate to Submit Delegate Slate in Alabama
BALTIMORE, MD - Governor Martin O'Malley is the first presidential candidate to submit his delegate slate in Alabama. Among Governor O'Malley's pledged delegates is Mrs. Sarah Collins Rudolph, a survivor of the 1963 Birmingham bombing. The following quote can be attributed to Mrs. Rudolph:
"I take my delegate commitment very seriously, and that's why I am supporting Governor O'Malley. Plenty of politicians try to make promises, but Governor O'Malley is truly a leader who's shown he has what it takes to get things done - from raising the minimum wage to ending the death penalty. He speaks to the heart of the Democratic Party that I want future generations to see."
Today, Governor O'Malley also became the first major presidential candidate to file for the New Hampshire primary ballot.
This is just one example of the excitement on the ground surrounding Governor O'Malley's candidacy and his proven track record of delivering progressive results, not just making progressive promises.
