
Hillary Clinton to Headline National Bar Association’s 60th Anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott
On Tuesday, December 1st, Hillary Clinton will make her 2nd trip of the campaign to Alabama to headline the National Bar Association’s 60th Anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott’s Commemoration Tour. Clinton will speak at a public event titled ‘The Role Lawyers Played in the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the Civil Rights Movement.”
The 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott and pivotal role Rosa Parks played led to tens of thousands of African Americans mobilizing as a force for change, and ultimately led to the U.S. Supreme Court ordering full integration of the Montgomery bus system. In October, Clinton visited Hoover to speak at the Alabama Democratic Conference convention on voting rights.
