Draft Biden South Carolina State Director Isaiah Nelson Joins Martin O'Malley Campaign
BALTIMORE, MD — Today, former Draft Biden South Carolina State Director, Isaiah Nelson, announced he is endorsing Governor O'Malley and his record of producing progressive results, not just making progressive promises. Nelson will be joining the O'Malley team in South Carolina as a senior advisor.
"I am proud to announce my endorsement of Governor Martin O'Malley for president and to be joining his campaign in South Carolina. In light of Vice President Biden's decision not to run, it is clear that there is only one candidate in this race who has delivered results from raising the minimum wage, signing marriage equality into law, abolishing the death penalty, investing in education, and passing some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. I encourage others to join me in supporting Governor O'Malley because we need someone who doesn't just hold progressive principles, but has proven he can deliver on them."
Previously, Isaiah has worked for Obama for America in 2012, Elizabeth Colbert Busch for Congress, and ran the 2014 South Carolina Coordinated Campaign for the state's federal and statewide Democratic candidates. Most recently, he was the campaign manager for Mayor Alvin Brown in Jacksonville, FL.
