O'Malley to Meet with Faith, Community Leaders on Reducing Gun Violence and Participate in College of Charleston Bully Pulpit Series
BALTIMORE, MD - Governor O'Malley will return to South Carolina on Thursday, October 22nd to meet with local faith and community leaders on the critical need to reduce gun violence in the wake of the recent tragedy at the Mother Emanuel AME Church. Governor O'Malley will also participate in the College of Charleston Bully Pulpit series.
O'Malley is passionate about the need for the country to act on meaningful gun safety reforms to save lives. As governor, O'Malley passed the most comprehensive gun safety reform package in the country. In his campaign for President, Governor O'Malley proposes cutting gun violence in half over the next 10 years with "the most detailed and aggressive gun control plan of any of the Democratic presidential candidates."
