Dr. Ben Carson Announces New Co-Chairs for New Hampshire
Alexandria, VA - October 22, 2015 - Today, Dr. Ben Carson, retired neurosurgeon and 2016 GOP presidential candidate, announced two new co-chairs for his campaign in New Hampshire. The Honorable Joseph Fleck of Wakefield and Mr. Eddie Edwards of Dover will join Ms. Cathie Chevalier of Hudson to lead grassroots efforts in the Granite State.
Mr. Fleck is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, a former Carroll County GOP Chairman, and a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 2008 to 2012. Mr. Edwards is a former Chief of Enforcement for the New Hampshire State Liquor Commission and a former South Hampton Police Chief.
“We wholeheartedly welcome Col. Fleck and Mr. Edwards to Team Carson,” said David Tille, New Hampshire State Director for the Carson campaign. “We are honored that these distinguished individuals will help spread Dr. Carson’s message of hope and healing to voters throughout the state.”
“I am excited to join the Carson campaign as a co-chair in New Hampshire,” said Col. Fleck. “Character tops the list of qualities we must expect of anyone seeking to provide leadership for our democratic society. Dr. Carson’s character exemplifies the level of trust needed to lead this nation. I look forward to helping him bring his bold ideas to the people of New Hampshire.”
"I am pleased to support Dr. Carson’s candidacy for president,” said Mr. Edwards. “There are very few who have the character, faith and love of country that will unite us. Dr. Carson does. I believe his leadership is what New Hampshire and America needs. I look forward to hitting the campaign trail on his behalf."
Dr. Carson’s grassroots campaign continues to do well with GOP primary voters across the country, and he remains only one of two candidates in the Republican presidential race who garners support above 20 percent in national polls.
