On Thursday, October 1st, Hillary Clinton will be joined by Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Attorney General Maura Healey to engage in a conversation with the community on substance abuse and its tragic effects on individuals and families in the City of Boston and throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
 
Known as the "quiet epidemic," addiction impacts individuals from every socio-economic status and every neighborhood. More than 500,000 people in Massachusetts suffer from addiction or dependence on drugs and alcohol but are not currently receiving treatment. This forum will offer an opportunity to explore the community's needs for prevention, treatment and recovery for substance abuse and addiction.
 
Since launching her campaign, Hillary has heard countless heartbreaking stories of families and communities torn apart by substance abuse disorders. As a leader in the battle to combat substance abuse, Hillary recently announced her initiative to Combat America’s Deadly Epidemic of Drug and Alcohol Addiction.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Former Arkansas Governor and 2016 GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee announced his Tennessee leadership team today, which includes U.S. Representative Chuck Fleischmann and Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell. The Washington Post reported that Huckabee is building a "southern firewall".  

"Governor Huckabee has been a steadfast fiscal and social conservative and has the proven executive leadership our country desperately needs. The people of Tennessee share his values. I am honored to be on his team and look forward to helping him to victory in Tennessee," said Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, Huckabee for President Tennessee State Chair.

"I personally know Mike Huckabee's character as he successfully led the State of Arkansas as Governor for 10 years. He is a man of high principles and fiscal integrity which are key ingredients needed to lead our nation and restore America to greatness," said Shelby County Mayor Mark Luttrell, Huckabee for President Tennessee Co-Chair.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Former Arkansas Governor and 2016 GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee announced his Georgia leadership team today, which includes Gov. Sonny Perdue and former Congressman John Linder.

HOUSTON, Texas - Today, the Cruz for President campaign announced the endorsement of Texas Congressman Randy Weber.  Originally a small business owner, the second-term Congressman has been a strong conservative voice in Congress for fiscal discipline, national security, and protecting life.  Weber won election in 2012 for the seat previously held by Ron Paul.

Washington State Representative Cary Condotta Endorses Rand Paul for President

WASHINGTON, D.C.-  Rand Paul for President today announced the endorsement of Washington State Representative Cary Condotta.

State Representative Cary Condotta came to the Washington State House of Representatives 14 years ago when republicans had 31 seats out of 98. He took over the campaign arm in 2005 and has added more seats in a blue state than any other.

Now at 47 seats, the Republicans are knocking on the door of a majority position. Cary is a student of economics and has been a champion of small business. He serves on appropriations, finance, and the commerce committees in olympia and lives in the heart of his 12th district in central Washington.

'Overnight' Tells Story of How Maker of AIDS drug Daraprim Cancelled Sudden Price Hike After Clinton Spoke Out
 
Hillary for America is releasing its newest television ad today, highlighting the aggressive plan Hillary Clinton rolled out last week to confront out-of-control costs for prescription drugs. As Clinton has said, too many American families and seniors are being squeezed by these rising drug costs – even as they have seen their wages and incomes grow far too slowly for years.
 
The new television ad, called “Overnight”, spotlights how Hillary Clinton is already getting results in her fight to curb prescription drug costs. In announcing her proposals last week, Clinton specifically spoke out against a plan by Turing Pharmaceuticals to raise the price of a drug that helps AIDS patients by more than 5,000 times its original level. A day after Clinton criticized the hike as "price gouging," the company's CEO reversed himself and pledged to cut the price of the drug, known as Daraprim.
 
Hillary Clinton will never stop this fight because Turing Pharmaceuticals isn’t the only company charging outrageous skyrocketing prices for prescription drugs that put them out of reach for everyday Americas who need them to get healthy or stay well.
