STATEMENT: Hyers: Republicans Grinding Democrats Into Dust with Robust Debate Schedule
 
BALTIMORE, MD—Today, O’Malley for President Senior Strategist Bill Hyers released the following statement on the 22.9 million Americans that tuned into last night’s Republican debate:
 
"Last night's Republican debate once again shattered viewership records, and once again exposed the American people to the Republicans' extreme comments, including their embrace of vaccine trutherism, calls for mass deportations of New Americans, and denunciations of women's health care providers. Yet, once again, the Democrats were silent, and the American people were deprived of their right to hear about our ideas to grow the ranks of our middle class, increase educational opportunities for every child, and fix our inhumane immigration system, among other issues.
 
"This is nothing short of political malpractice. We are letting the Republican Party grind our Party into dust and be essentially invisible in this election. Now is the time for Secretary Clinton, Senator Sanders, Senator Webb, Governor Chafee, and Professor Lessig to stand up and join our call for more debates. Democrats' success in 2016 depends on it."
