Rand Paul to Prescribe New Vision for America at Voters First Forum
WASHINGTON, D.C.- TONIGHT, Sen. Rand Paul will participate in the Voters First Forum sponsored by the New Hampshire Union Leader, the Post and Courier and the Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Gazette. Broadcast co-sponsors are iHeart radio, KCRG-TV, Cedar Rapids; and WLTX-TV in Columbia. The forum will take place in Manchester, N.H. and will be hosted by Jack Heath of WGIR.
During the forum, Sen. Rand Paul will prescribe a new vision for America that encourages innovation, competition, and fiscal sanity. Sen. Paul will discuss his 'Fair and Flat' tax plan which would demolish the 70,000-page tax code and implement a flat, 14.5 percent tax for all working Americans. Sen. Paul believes America will become a prosperous nation again once we leave more money in the hands of those who earned it.
Sen. Paul will also discuss the importance of national security, as he believes the federal government's number one priority should be a strong, national defense. Sen. Paul follows Ronald Reagan's mantra of 'Peace through Strength,' and plans to discuss the need to defend our interests as opposed to constant, unnecessary intervention.
Finally, Sen. Paul will discuss the importance of defending the entire Bill of Rights. He is the only candidate willing to protect the right to privacy by keeping the federal government out of your data records without first obtaining a warrant.
The forum will be broadcast nationally by C-SPAN, by NH1-WBIN-TV in New Hampshire, as well as by South Carolina and Iowa stations. To hear Sen. Paul's prescription for prosperity in its entirety, tune in to tonight's forum at 7:00pm ET.
