Gov. Walker Reveals Plan to Repeal and Replace ObamaCare

Brooklyn Center, Minn. --  Governor Scott Walker today revealed his plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare, The Day One Patient Freedom Plan, and will speak about it at 10:00 AM CDT at Cass Screw Machine Products in Brooklyn Center, Minn. The plan is a big, bold conservative solution that replaces ObamaCare's government-centric approach with a market-driven system that works for all Americans. Walker's plan will ensure every American has access to affordable health care coverage and could reduce premiums by as much as 25 percent. Just as Walker has taken on both parties to get things done in Wisconsin, he will do the same as president to implement this plan that will benefit all Americans.

On day one as president, Walker will submit draft legislation to Congress to repeal ObamaCare in its entirety. He'll compel Congress to pass that legislation by ending the subsidies that have exempted lawmakers from the premium increases Americans have faced under ObamaCare. Next, he'll build a better system that puts people back in charge of their own health care, gives patients more options, and makes health care insurance more affordable. His plan would move power over health care out of Washington by returning regulatory authority to state and local leaders and giving states the authority to administer Medicaid.

Walker's Day One Patient Freedom Plan puts patients back in control, empowers states, cuts regulations, and encourages innovation. It lowers health insurance premiums by repealing ObamaCare, increases competition, and allows Americans to shop for insurance from any state. It provides tax credits that allow those without employer sponsored insurance to obtain affordable coverage and incentivizes the use of Health Savings Accounts by giving everyone who opens one $1,000. Additionally, it protects all Americans with pre-existing conditions.
