Senator Marco Rubio Annouced as Keynote Speaker for Annual Steak Fry Event

Van Meter, IA— Dallas County Republicans are pleased to announce the upcoming Annual Steak Fry Dinner and Pie Auction that will be held at Van Meter Legion Hall in Van Meter, Iowa, on Tuesday, August 18th. Doors will open at 5:00 pm with dinner beginning at 6:00 pm. Van Meter Legion Hall is located at 910 Main Street in Van Meter. The Annual Steak Fry Dinner will feature Senator Marco Rubio as the headline speaker. Several state and county officials will also be in attendance. “It is great to be able to have Senator Marco Rubio speak at the Annual Dallas County Steak Fry. As the fastest growing county in Iowa, it is important that we have a strong outreach to young families and Hispanics in 2016,” stated Chair Tyler De Haan.

Tickets to the event will be $35 dollars per person for the banquet which can be purchased by registering on www.eventbrite.com or by emailing dcgopia@gmail.com. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $40 dollars the night of the event.

The event will include a catered dinner and a chance to meet and greet Senator Marco Rubio. After the dinner and keynote address has concluded there will be a pie auction, the proceeds of which will help Dallas County Republicans support both local and statewide Republican candidates in 2016 elections and beyond. “It is important with a lot of young families moving into Dallas County each year, that the Dallas County Republicans are able to effectively communicate our message that pro-economic growth and limited government policies help create the quality of life that the residents of Dallas County enjoy today,” replied Co-Chair John Strathman.

On Monday, July 27, Hillary Clinton will tour the LEED Platinum certified Des Moines Area Regional Transit (DART) Central Station where she will discuss her plan to increase renewable energy sources and address climate change. Later that morning she will address the Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) Summer Leadership Conference in Altoona.
 
Monday's events round out three days of events for Hillary Clinton in Iowa where she has discussed her campaign to fight for everyday Iowans and create an economy where everyone can get ahead and stay ahead.
