Congressman Jeff Duncan Announces Ted Cruz as First Confirmed Speaker for 5th Annual Faith & Freedom BBQ on Monday, August 24, 2015

Anderson, SC-South Carolina Congressman Jeff Duncan announced today that US Senator and Presidential candidate Ted Cruz will be one of the special guests at this year's 5th Annual Faith & Freedom BBQ. "Senator Cruz has been a strong voice for the people in Washington, and I'm looking forward to bringing him to South Carolina for this important event," said Duncan.

Duncan used a combination of public feedback and consideration of previous event speakers to help determine who would speak at this year's event. Nearly 1,400 people attended last year's event and previous speakers include Senator Lindsey Graham, Senator Marco Rubio, and Senator Rand Paul.

"I am looking forward to returning to the Palmetto State and joining my friend Jeff Duncan at the largest annual GOP event in South Carolina," said Senator Cruz.

According to Duncan, he plans on announcing two or three more guest speakers for the event. The 5th Annual Faith & Freedom BBQ will take place on Monday, August 24th at the Anderson Civic Center.
