WASHINGTON - Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chairman Sharon Day released the following Easter message:
 
“This morning, we awake to the joy of the Resurrection,” said Chairman Priebus. “To Christians celebrating this blessed day, I wish you a very happy Easter.
 
“Across this country and around the world, families are gathering in churches to sing praises to the risen Lord. The darkness of Good Friday has been replaced by the hope of Easter. We celebrate love’s triumph over death, and the promise of everlasting life.
 
“May you be surrounded by loved ones today and discover anew the joy and peace that Easter brings."
 
“A very Happy Easter to you and yours!” said Co-Chairman Day. “The stone is rolled away, and God’s promise has been fulfilled. As Christians sing praises, we’re mindful of God’s love and Christ’s example for us. It’s my prayer today that the Easter spirit will stay with us throughout the year ahead."
