NHDP Chair Re-Elected as President of Association of State Democratic Chairs
Washington, D.C. — Today, at the Association of State Democratic Chairs meeting in Washington, D.C., New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair and current President of the ASDC Raymond Buckley was unanimously re-elected for a fourth term as President of the ASDC. Buckley was first elected to the position in January of 2009. Since its creation in the late 1960’s, no one has been elected to a fourth two-year term to lead the ASDC.
The Association of State Democratic Chairs is an arm of the Democratic National Committee that provides resources to state Democratic parties across the country. With this election, Buckley will also remain a vice-chair of the Democratic National Committee.
“I am humbled and honored to serve as President of the Association of State Democratic Chairs,” said Buckley. “As president of the ASDC, I will continue to work with our dedicated members to provide the training and resources necessary to build a robust party infrastructure in every precinct, town, county and state.”
“2016 is shaping up to be a great year for Democrats in New Hampshire and across the country – if we do the ground work this year. I’m excited to work hard together now so we can celebrate great victories next November,” added Buckley.
