Rick Perry Scheduled to Campaign for Joni Ernst on October 23, 2014 in Marion, Iowa
MARION, Iowa, Oct. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Texas Governor Rick Perry will be in Iowa this Thursday to rally conservative voters in support of United States Senate candidate Joni Ernst. The Iowa U.S. Senate race is one of the closest and most watched in the nation and is seen as a possible tipping point for returning control of the U.S. Senate to Republicans.
Governor Perry will be joined by other Ernst supporters including Iowa Secretary of State candidate Paul Pate, Iowa Treasurer candidate Sam Clovis, and congressional candidate Rod Blum. The event will be emceed by conservative commentator, author and filmmaker Steve Laffey. Performing live at the events is country music sensation Ayla Brown, the daughter of New Hampshire U.S. Senate candidate Scott Brown.
The GOTV rally is a concert and cookout and will take place on Thursday evening October 23rd at the Marion, Iowa headquarters of Pate Asphalt at 3285 3rd Avenue. Doors open at 5pm. The rally is hosted by two Super PACs: Vote 2 Reduce Debt and Person to Person PAC.
