Sen. Paul to Visit GOP Victory offices during three day tour across Iowa
DES MOINES—The Republican Party of Iowa will open a series of Victory offices in early August in a coordinated effort to engage the party's grassroots. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., will fire up volunteers at offices from Council Bluffs to Davenport on a three day swing across the state.
"I am thrilled to come back to Iowa," Sen. Paul said in a statement. "Taking back the majority in the U.S. Senate hinges on Iowa, and we must work tirelessly to elect great candidates all across the state. I look forward to doing my part to ensure that Iowa sends strong conservatives to Washington."
Sen. Paul will speak in Council Bluffs, Sioux City, Cedar Rapids, Davenport and Urbandale. The events will be open to credentialed press. Several congressional and statewide candidates will join Sen. Paul.
"I am committed to building a robust ground game to get out the vote in November. The momentum fueling Iowa Republicans has never been greater, and I'm excited to welcome Sen. Paul back to Iowa to boost our statewide and federal candidates," said Jeff Kaufmann, the chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa, a former leader in the Iowa House of Representatives who lives in Wilton.
"I'm thrilled to open a Victory office in Woodbury county, an important area for Republicans. It is critically important that Republicans band together, roll up our sleeves and turn out every possible voter in northwest Iowa and beyond," said Cody Hoefert, the co-chair of the Republican Party of Iowa and a chiropractor from Rock Rapids.
