Danny Carroll Elected as Iowa GOP Co-Chairman
DES MOINES, Iowa- On Saturday the Republican Party of Iowa State Central Committee elected Danny Carroll as Co-Chairman of the State Party. Carroll replaces former Co-Chairman David Fischer, who stepped down when he announced he would run for State Senate.
Danny Carroll was elected county supervisor of Poweshiek county in 1984 and served for approximately 10 years. He was also elected to the Iowa House of Representatives in 1994 and served through 2006, representing portions of Poweshiek, Jasper and Mahaska county. He currently serves as a family policy advocate with The Family Leader. Carroll stated,
"I was honored to receive the support of the State Central Committee. I look forward to the opportunity to promote the principles and policies of the Republican Party and to advance a conservative philosophy that represents the views of the grassroots of our party."
