Perry Campaign Releases New Ad: "Strong" Defending Faith Against Obama Policies
AUSTIN - The Perry campaign today released a 30-second television advertisement entitled "Strong."
"Strong" Script:
Gov. Perry: "I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a Christian, but you don't need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there's something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can't openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school."
"As President, I'll end Obama's war on religion. And I'll fight against liberal attacks on our religious heritage."
"Faith made America strong. It can make her strong again."
I'm Rick Perry and I approve this message. Text: Approved by Rick Perry and paid for by RickPerry.org, Inc.
"From refusing the protect the Defense of Marriage Act in court to mandating abortion and other 'health' practices over the objections of church-affiliated hospitals, the Obama Administration is waging a full scale assault on Christians and people of faith," said Perry campaign communications director Ray Sullivan. "Gov. Perry believes in the religious liberty embodied in the U.S. Constitution by our Founding Fathers. Rick Perry will be guided by these principles as President of the United States."
