RNC CHAIRMAN REINCE PRIEBUS ANNOUNCES KEY SENIOR STAFF HIRES
WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus announced two key senior staff additions today installing Rick Wiley as the Political Director and Sean Spicer as Communications Director:
“As we continue building our team for the 2012 election cycle, I am excited to announce two top-notch aides who will help lead this Committee. I have said from the very beginning that one of my priorities is reaching out and communicating with Republican leaders on the Hill and across the country so we can elect more Republicans over the next two years. As a former Regional Political Director for the RNC, Deputy National Political Director for Rudy Giuliani’s presidential campaign and Executive Director of the Republican Party of Wisconsin, Rick Wiley is exactly what this committee needs to build the grassroots Get-Out-the-Vote operation we need to beat Barack Obama. He will work closely with our new Communications Director Sean Spicer, a well-respected communicator who has previously held positions in the Bush Administration, the House Republican Conference, the National Republican Congressional Committee and most recently at the Department of Defense Criminal Investigation Task Force. I am thrilled to have Sean on board as we tackle the Democrats’ tax, borrow and spend agenda.
”We have had a very successful first month here at the RNC and I feel good about where the Republican Party stands today. I look forward to working with our team as Republican leaders continue to fill the leadership void created by President Obama.”
