Mike Huckabee Launches New Ad in Michigan

Mike Huckabee Launches New Ad in Michigan

Little Rock, AR - The Huckabee for President Campaign launched a new television ad in Michigan Wednesday, underscoring the former Arkansas governor's commitment to Republican voters in the "Wolverine State."

Fresh off of a major victory in the Iowa Caucuses and a strong showing in New Hampshire, the Huckabee campaign has its sights on the January 15 GOP Michigan Primary.

"We're looking forward to competing in Michigan," said Campaign Manager Chip Saltsman. "Americans want a president who understands their dreams and aspirations, as well as their daily challenges.  They want a president from Main Street, not Wall Street.  Governor Huckabee is that candidate."

The new 30-second ad, called "Understanding," highlights Huckabee's Main Street message, his vision for America, and his understanding of the struggles of average American families.

The ad also references Huckabee's pro-growth economic record as governor of Arkansas which includes fostering an increase of 121,686 Arkansans employed during his tenure. Under Governor Huckabee, Arkansas hit the lowest unemployment mark (4.1%) in state history and had the lowest average unemployment rate in the past 30 years.

"All across America, citizens are looking for a President who has a vision for ensuring America's greatest days are yet to come. As President, I will fight to protect the American Dream, promote prosperity, and preserve our core values," said Governor Mike Huckabee in the ad.

"As President, I will also bring the understanding of Main Street to the White House and bring about change for the better all across America just as I did in Arkansas," he said.

Script of "Understanding" -- :30 TV

"When you grow up and life's a struggle, you have a whole different understanding of what most people are going through."

Clinton: If You Stand With Me, I Will Stand Up For You Every Day As Your President

Clinton: If You Stand With Me, I Will Stand Up For You Every Day As Your President

Final 2-minute appeal to air on WMUR’s 6pm newscast tonight

After nearly a year of criss-crossing New Hampshire and talking with Granite Staters about her vision for change, Hillary Clinton tonight makes her closing argument in a televised appeal that directly addresses the central question on the minds of voters.

“After all the town meetings, it comes down to this. Who's ready to be president and ready to start solving the big challenges we face on day one?” Clinton asks.

Clinton's message will run during the 6:00 pm newscast on WMUR this evening.

In her message, she calls for an end to the Iraq war, a new energy policy, rebuilding our middle class, and affordable quality health care for all Americans.

“I'm not running for President to put band-aids on our problems,” she says.  "I'm running to solve them."

Hillary closes with a direct appeal to Granite Staters to support her. "I hope you'll vote for me and help me change America. And, if you stand with me, I will stand up for you every day as your president. "

The script follows:

“Crossroads NH”

TV : 2:00

Hillary Clinton: Thank you New Hampshire, for welcoming me into your homes and hearts.

And when you vote, I hope you'll ask one question. Who's ready to be president on day one?

America is at a crossroads. We're a nation at war in a dangerous world. We have a faltering economy, an energy crisis, and 47 million people without health care.

But, after seven long years of this administration, we finally have the opportunity for a new beginning. Tomorrow, you can take the first step.

After all the town meetings, it comes down to this. Who's ready to be president and ready to start solving the big challenges we face on day one?

And, we can solve them. We can end the era of cowboy diplomacy and bring our sons and daughters home from Iraq. We can make a new beginning for our economy and rebuild our great middle class.

We can reform our government and transform our energy future. We can make a new beginning on health care, cut costs, improve quality, and cover every American.

I'm not running for president to put band-aids on our problems. I'm running to solve them.

The stories you've shared will always stay with me. Parents juggling jobs to pay for

college for their kids, soldiers' families praying for a safe return, all the men and women across this state who have whispered their health care problems to me.

Bills they can't pay, parents they can't afford to care for, insurance companies who refuse

to help. I know you've waited a long time for a president who could hear you and see you. We're not just changing presidents, we're changing our country.

I hope you'll vote for me and help me change America. And, if you stand with me, I will stand up for you every day as your president.

I'll work my heart out to bring the country we love the new beginning it needs and I will be ready to start on day one. Thank you.

I'm Hillary Clinton and I approved this message.

Governor Romney Speaks To The People Of New Hampshire In New Ad, "Tomorrow"

GOVERNOR ROMNEY SPEAKS TO THE PEOPLE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE IN NEW AD, "TOMORROW"

Boston, MA – Tonight, Governor Mitt Romney will air a two-minute television ad, "Tomorrow," in which he speaks directly to the people of New Hampshire about the need for conservative change in Washington if we are to confront a new generation of challenges.  For decades, Washington has promised action on issues like energy independence, health care reform and border security, but the American people have only heard more talk.  We need new ideas in Washington.

Throughout his career, Governor Romney has been confronted with seemingly impossible challenges and always met them.  He turned around businesses.  He saved the 2002 Winter Olympics and he solved Massachusetts' fiscal crisis.  He's the only candidate who has brought change in the real world.  If the people of New Hampshire want to change Washington, Governor Romney is asking for their vote.

Script For "Tomorrow" (TV 2:00):

GOVERNOR MITT ROMNEY:  "I'm Mitt Romney.

"This is an important moment in our nation's history.  There's a tide of change sweeping New Hampshire and America.  Everywhere I go people say Washington is broken.

"And they know that those who've spent their careers in Washington can't change Washington.

"For decades, they've heard Washington politicians say they would reduce our dependence on foreign oil.  They haven't.

"For years, they said they'd fix our schools.  They haven't.

"For years, they said they'd fix healthcare.  They haven't.

"And for just as many years, they've said they'd secure our borders.  They haven't.

"It's long past time to bring real change to Washington.  That's never going to happen if all we do is send the same people back to Washington to sit in different chairs.

"We need new energy, we need new ideas, and we need new leaders.  We need people who can turn around Washington.

"I'm the only candidate for President who's done that in the real world.

"I've done it in business, at the Olympics and as Governor.

"I'm going to bring that real world turnaround experience with me to Washington.

"Your vote tomorrow is going to affect your job, your children's schools and how long you sit in the doctor's waiting room.

"But it's also going to determine whether America will continue to lead the world as the great superpower it is today.

"We're going to see more dramatic change in the next decade than we've seen in our entire lifetimes.

"How will all the change affect you?

"Will someone in China or India take your job?  Or will your job be selling American products to them?

"Will your children fear attack from violent Jihadists?

"Or will they be safe and secure in a stronger America?

"America needs to get ready for these and many other new challenges.

"There isn't a single challenge we can't overcome with the spirit, determination and imagination that has always been at the heart of the American people.

"If you want to change Washington, and get America ready for the future, America needs you now.

"I'm Mitt Romney, and I not only approve this message, I'm asking for your vote."

Edwards Campaign Unveils New "underdog" Television Ad in new Hampshire

EDWARDS CAMPAIGN UNVEILS NEW “UNDERDOG” TELEVISION AD IN NEW HAMPSHIRE
In new 60-second spot, Edwards vows he will never give up on the fight to save the middle class, the real underdogs in America

Manchester, New Hampshire – Tomorrow, one day before voters go to the polls, the John Edwards for President campaign will begin airing a new 60-second television spot in the Granite State. In “Underdog,” Senator John Edwards says he will never give up on the fight to save the middle class, and he will take this fight all the way to the Democratic Convention and to the White House.

“I may be an underdog in this campaign, running against two candidates with $200 million between them, but the real underdogs are the middle class and the voiceless in this country,” Edwards says in the new spot. “I know that the fight to save the middle class will be an epic battle, and I will never give up. We’re going to take the fight to save the middle class all the way to the Convention and the White House. We’re going to look our children in the eye and tell them ‘we left you a better life than we had.’”

Edwards focused on the same message today at a Manchester town hall event that served as the kick off for his 36-hour “Marathon for the Middle Class.” For the next 36 hours, John and Elizabeth will talk to thousands of voters about Edwards’ bold plans to stand up to the powerful entrenched interests and give hard-working, middle class families a voice in Washington.

At the Manchester town hall, John and Elizabeth Edwards were joined by the family of Nataline Sarkisyan, who passed away in December after her health insurance company refused to pay for the liver transplant she needed.

“I want everyone in New Hampshire to know what is at stake in this election,” Edwards said in Manchester. “What kind of fighter do you want to have on your side when your family is faced with this kind of crisis, when your job is being shipped overseas? Do you want somebody who has the right ideas and philosophy, or do you want somebody who has the right ideas and philosophy and the fight to bring about change?  Because if I am elected, I will fight for you, I will fight for your kids, I will fight for your grandkids, with every fiber of my being.”

Transcript of “Underdog” (60 seconds):

I may be an underdog in this campaign, running against two candidates with $200 million between them.

But the real underdogs are the middle class and the voiceless in this country,

Losing ground while CEOs pocket million dollar bonuses

And corporate lobbyists get their way in Washington.

Exxon Mobil rakes in record profits, gets government handouts, and gas prices go through the roof.

At the same time, 200,000 veterans, men and women who wore America’s uniform,

Will sleep tonight under bridges and on grates.

We cannot simply replace a bunch of corporate Republicans with a bunch of corporate Democrats.

I’ve never taken a dime from Washington lobbyists or PACs.

I know who the underdogs are in this fight.

I know that the fight to save the middle class will be an epic battle, and I will never give up.

We’re going to take the fight to save the middle class all the way to the Convention and the White House.

We’re going to look our children in the eye and tell them “we left you a better life than we had.”

I’m John Edwards and I approve this message.

Obama Campaign to Air Two New TV Ads, "Independence" And "Would"

Obama Campaign to Air Two New TV Ads
Two new ads highlight Obama’s willingness to challenge conventional thinking, ability to unify country

MANCHESTER ,NH—Senator Barack Obama’s campaign announced today that it will begin airing two new television ads in New Hampshire. A thirty-second spot, entitled “Independence,” highlights Obama’s New Hampshire newspapers endorsements, which praise his independent thinking and ability to unify the country. Obama was endorsed by the Boston Globe, the Nashua Telegraph, the Portsmouth Herald, Valley News, and Littleton Courier.

The campaign will also air another thirty-second ad, entitled “Would,” which discusses Obama’s track record of fighting for meaningful change, even when it isn’t easy.

SCRIPT – “Independence”

Barack Obama: We are one nation, we are one people, and our time for change has come.

Announcer: Barack Obama. Endorsed by New Hampshire’s most respected papers. Endorsed because he’s our “best chance to break partisan gridlock.”

Endorsed because of his “common sense solutions”

Endorsed for his“honesty”… “independence” and ability to “reset the country’s reputation in the world”

Only Obama can “unify the country”.

I’m Barack Obama and I approve this message.

SCRIPT –“Would”

Five years ago, he said what the others would not, opposing the rash and reckless war in Iraq; warning that it would not make us safer.

In Washington, he did what the others could not, taking dead aim at the power of lobbyists; passing the farthest-reaching ethics reforms in a generation.

And as President, he'll do what the others cannot, unite a divided nation, repair our standing in the world and bring change we can believe in.
