McCain-Palin 2008 Launches New Television Ad: "Obama Praising McCain"

McCain-Palin 2008 Launches New Television Ad: "Obama Praising McCain"

ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today released its latest television ad, entitled "Obama Praising McCain." The ad highlights Barack Obama's past praise for John McCain on the issue of confronting global climate change. As he said numerous times during the first debate, Barack Obama often believes John McCain is right. The ad will air in key states.

Script For "Obama Praising McCain" (TV :30)

ANNCR: The truth on global warming:

BARACK OBAMA: The right approach begins with the proposal put forward by Senator Lieberman and Senator McCain.

The Lieberman-McCain bill establishes limits for greenhouse gas emissions. It's a framework that's not only good for the environment, it's also good for business.

I want to thank Senator Lieberman, as well as Senator McCain, for the outstanding leadership that they've shown.

JOHN MCCAIN: I'm John McCain and I approve this message.

Sarah Palin In Iowa On Monday For Road to Victory Rally

Governor Palin in Iowa on Monday for Road to Victory Rally!
The battle for the White House continues in Iowa.

After two hugely successful rallies in Sioux City and Des Moines last weekend with sell-out crowds and loads of enthusiasm for the McCain-Palin ticket, there’s no place Governor Sarah Palin would rather visit on Monday than the great state of Iowa.

I’m pleased to inform you that on Monday, November 3, hours before Iowans take to the polls, Governor Sarah Palin will be holding a Road to Victory Rally in Dubuque, Iowa.

Iowans will have another opportunity to hear why the McCain-Palin ticket is their best hope for having opportunity spread to them, rather than their wealth being redistributed, how the ticket cares about all of Iowa’s Joe the Plumbers and how this team of mavericks will always put country first.

The rally will be held at:
Grand River Center
500 Bell Street
Dubuque, Iowa 52001

Doors open for the event at 12 p.m. with the program beginning around 2 p.m.

Tickets are free and can be picked up at the following locations starting at noon on Friday:

Dubuque County Victory Office
2560 Dodge Street
Dubuque, IA
Fri. 12-9 PM
Sat & Sun 9 AM – 9 PM

Black Hawk County Victory Office
2307 Falls Ave
Waterloo, IA
Fri. 12-9 PM
Sat & Sun 9 AM – 9 PM

Linn County Victory Office
2240 7th Ave East, Suite 5
Marion, Iowa
Fri. 12-9 PM
Sat & Sun 9 AM – 9 PM

Scott County Victory Office
1880 E. 54th Street
Davenport, IA
Fri. 12-9 PM
Sat & Sun 9 AM – 9 PM

“Iowans can expect to hear straight talk on Monday from Governor Palin about why the McCain-Palin ticket is the best choice to lead in Washington and how the ticket represents working across the aisle, strengthening our economy and keeping taxes low.  John McCain and Sarah Palin share the same values as hardworking Iowans, and that’s why we’re confident they will win in Iowa on Election Day.”

Minnesota Elections: Frequently Asked Questions

ONLINE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT MINNESOTA ELECTIONS
-Feature is part of one-stop Web site resource for voters

SAINT PAUL, Minn.-Oct 28, 2008-Secretary of State Mark Ritchie today introduced a "Minnesota Elections: Frequently Asked Questions" link posted on his office's Web site homepage. The feature is part of the office's continuing efforts to educate voters and make the secretary of state Web site a one-stop online voter resource.

"Minnesotans will have the opportunity next week to participate in what could be one of the largest elections in a half-century," explained Ritchie. "It is important that all voters have access to election information. This webpage addresses some of the most commonly fielded questions by my office," Ritchie said. "I hope Minnesotans will find it to be a valuable resource."

The secretary of state homepage also contains information on Election Day voter registration, absentee voting, candidate information, instructional election videos, and offers voters a "Polling Place Finder" to determine their polling location and receive a listing of candidates appearing on their ballot. Voters can access the Web site at: www.sos.state.mn.us.

For additional assistance, voters may contact their county election official or the Office of Secretary of State, Elections Division at: 651-215-1440 or 1-877-600-8683.
