Washington, DC — Chris Dodd for President today announced several key hires, including a National Political Director and a Deputy Communications Director. Scott Arceneaux, the new Political Director, and Hari Sevugan, the new Deputy Communications Director, bring substantial campaign and political experience and add serious momentum to Dodd's presidential bid.

"Nothing is a greater indicator of a campaign with momentum than the addition of such distinguished talent. Scott and Hari have built up impressive resumes winning difficult campaigns in the most trying of circumstances—I could not be more excited to add them to my team," said Dodd.

Dodd's momentum has also expanded into key early primary states, where veteran Iowa operatives have signed on the campaign.  In Iowa, the campaign recently brought on long-time aide to Leonard Boswell, Marc Beltrame, as Iowa State Director, and campaign press secretary to newly-elected Governor Chet Culver, Taylor West.

Orrin Hatch Endorses Mitt Romney For President

U.S. SENATOR ORRIN HATCH ENDORSES GOVERNOR MITT ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT

Boston, MA – Governor Mitt Romney today announced that U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) has endorsed his candidacy for President of the United States.  Senator Hatch joins a growing list of U.S. Senators who have already announced their support, including Senators Robert Bennett (R-UT), Larry Craig (R-ID), and Jim DeMint (R-SC).

"For more than 30 years, Senator Hatch has been a powerful and effective conservative voice in the United States Senate," said Governor Romney. "Senator Hatch is a leading authority on judicial matters and has worked to cut down the size of government and let hardworking Americans keep more of what they earn.  I am honored to have him on my campaign."

Bill Richardson Statement on California’s Presidential Primary Move to February 5

New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson Statement on California’s Presidential Primary Move to February 5

SANTA FE, NM- New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson said today that moving the California Presidential primary election to February 5 is good for the Democratic Party and the primary process in general. The Governor issued the following statement:

“I believe that this change is great for the west and a positive development for my campaign,” said Governor Richardson.  “I am confident that my message and strong record of action will resonate with the voters of California.  As a western Governor I deal every day with issues important to the region, fighting for equal rights, protecting our environment, and promoting aggressive renewable energy policies and energy independence.  And like New Mexico, California is a diverse, multicultural state that will help the nominating process become even more inclusive and more reflective of America as it is today and will be in the future.”
