Site Features New Memorial Day Web Ad Calling on the President to Make Life Saving Mine Resistant Vehicles a National Priority

Wilmington, DE: The Biden for President Campaign today launched a new section of its website, www.joebiden.com/iowa, dedicated to the campaign’s organization and efforts in the Hawkeye State.  The “Iowa for Biden” section provides state-specific campaign updates including news, schedules and information on the campaign’s field activities.   

Biden is on day-two of a six-day campaign swing through Iowa.  Today, he will also make stops in Iowa City where he will speak at the Johnson County Democratic Party Family Picnic and in Clinton, Iowa where he will hold an Iraq Town Hall Meeting.  During the six-day swing, he will also make stops in Waterloo, Maquoketa, Dubuque, Indianola, Des Moines, Emmetsburg, Fort Dodge, Cedar Falls and Vinton.

Five Write-In Songs Added to Final List

Hillary Clinton today launched the final round of Internet voting for her official campaign song, posting a new web video in which she responds to the suggestions and touching tributes that poured in over the last week since she first announced the song competition.

Clinton’s first YouTube video has received an overwhelming response since it launched last Wednesday, with more than 600,000 views and more than 130,000 votes cast on her campaign website.

“I turned to the American people for help in picking my campaign song, and they haven’t disappointed,” Clinton said. “From the off beat to the brilliant, I’m excited that so many people have chosen to offer their suggestions and engage with our campaign online.”

Hillary will announce the winner online and via email in the coming days. Supporters can also sign up for a text message announcing the winner by texting “SONG” to 77007.

New York City –The Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee today announced five Rhode Island state co-chairs responsible for building support throughout the state and establishing a strong grassroots organization.      

Team Rudy’s Rhode Island state co-chairs include Republican National Committeeman Robert Manning, Rhode Island Senate Minority Leader Dennis Algiere, Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian, Former Mayor of Cranston Steve Laffey and Former Rhode Island Republican Party Chairwoman Patricia Morgan.

Richardson Launches Iowa Campaign Website

DES MOINES, IA --- Emphasizing his commitment to campaigning in the Hawkeye State, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson’s Presidential campaign has launched a new interactive website dedicated to its efforts in Iowa.

“This new website will be a valuable tool for campaign supporters to get information about Governor Richardson as he travels to cities and towns all over the state, listening to what Iowans have to say about our country and its future,” Iowa Communications Director Tom Reynolds said.  “Governor Richardson is going to continue to meet with caucus-goers and discuss why his extensive legislative, diplomatic and executive experience make him the best candidate in the field. Our Iowa website will help in this effort and will serve as a vital link between the campaign and the Iowa community.”

DES MOINES – The Obama Campaign today announced the addition of Iowa State Representative Elesha Gayman (D-Davenport) to the Obama for Iowa team.   Elesha will work as the Eastern Iowa political director and lead outreach efforts throughout the region. 

“We’re proud to welcome Elesha to our Iowa team and look forward to having her join us as we work to change the way we do politics in Washington,” Iowa State Director Paul Tewes said.  “With Elesha’s help in Eastern Iowa, we will continue to mobilize our grassroots campaign focused on reaching out to Iowans one by one.  Elesha brings valuable experience building a true grassroots network, and we’re proud to have her on board.” 

Representative Elesha Gayman was born and raised in Davenport and just completed her first term in the Iowa Statehouse as a State Representative.  A University of Iowa graduate, Gayman was a 2004 Iowa delegate at the Democratic National Convention and later worked for Democratic candidate for President John Kerry.
