CLINTON CAMPAIGN UNVEILS CAUCUS NIGHT WEB SITE

New Web Site www.caucusforhillary.com Offers Iowans Caucus Night Locations, Directions and Assistance

DES MOINES, IA — In a continuing effort to make the January 3rd caucuses easier for Iowans, the Clinton campaign unveiled a new caucus locator tool on its caucus night web site, www.caucusforhillary.com . The only campaign to offer such a tool, the site allows users to enter their addresses and receive a personalized local caucus location and a map.

“Iowans want a candidate who is an agent of change and that candidate is Hillary Clinton,” Iowans for Hillary State Director Teresa Vilmain said. “Our new locator tool will help Iowans get out to caucus for Hillary so that she can enact the kind of change Iowans deserve on day one as President.”

The new tool is the latest addition to a web site that is geared towards helping Iowans attend the caucuses. The web site, www.caucusforhillary.com , offers information on the Clinton campaign’s “buddy” program, which aims to pair first time caucus goers with experienced caucus goers.

The user-friendly web site allows Iowans to sign up for caucus night assistance such as transportation to and from local caucus sites and babysitting. Users can also go to the web site for information on how to contact their local field organizer for further assistance. Additionally, the site has a variety of tools to help caucus goers, including a “Common Caucus Questions” section and information on how to volunteer for Iowans for Hillary.

Former Nebraska Governor And Senator Bob Kerrey Endorses Clinton

Fmr. Nebraska Governor and Senator Bob Kerrey Endorses Clinton
The Clinton Campaign today announced the endorsement of former Nebraska Governor and Senator Bob Kerrey.

“At a time when our nation faces serious challenges, it will take a leader with Hillary Clinton’s strength and experience to bring the real change we need,” Kerrey said. “Hillary is tested and uniquely capable of restoring America’s standing in the world.”

Kerrey has been president of The New School in New York since 2001, overseeing unprecedented growth in undergraduate enrollment and curriculum offerings while remaining active in national affairs. He served on the 9/11 Commission that analyzed the U.S. response to the terrorist attacks and is co-chair of the National Commission for Quality Long-Term Care.

Prior to his current position, Kerrey represented Nebraska in the U.S. Senate from 1989 to 2001, and as Governor from 1983 to 1987.

Kerrey served as a Navy SEAL in Vietnam and was wounded in the line of duty, earning the Medal of Honor for his bravery and leadership.

DES MOINES REGISTER ENDORSES CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT

DES MOINES REGISTER ENDORSES CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT

From the Endorsement:

“The times demand results. We believe as president she’ll do what she’s always done in her life: Throw herself into the job and work hard. We believe Hillary Rodham Clinton can do great things for our country.”

https://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071215/NEWS/71215018

"A deep, talented field in the Democratic caucus race offers both good and difficult choices.

No fewer than three candidates would, by their very identity, usher the nation to the doorstep of history. Should the party offer the nation the chance to choose its first woman president? Or its first black president? Or its first Latino president?

Or should the party place its trust in two senators, Joe Biden or Chris Dodd, who have served their nation with distinction for more than 30 years each? Or should it heed John Edwards’ clarion call to restore opportunity for all Americans?

Beyond their personal appeal, the candidates have outlined ambitious policy proposals on health care, education and rural policy. Yet these proposals do little to help separate the field. Their plans are similar, reflecting a growing consensus in the party about how to approach priority issues.

The choice, then, comes down to preparedness: Who is best prepared to confront the enormous challenges the nation faces — from ending the Iraq war to shoring up America’s middle class to confronting global climate change?

The job requires a president who not only understands the changes needed to move the country forward but also possesses the discipline and skill to navigate the reality of the resistant Washington power structure to get things done.

That candidate is New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton..."

Iowa Congressman Boswell Endorses Hillary Clinton

Congressman Boswell Endorses Hillary Clinton
Senior Iowa Democratic House Member Announces His Support for Hillary Clinton

Des Moines, IA – Citing her strength and experience, and calling her the Democrats’ best chance to win the White House, Congressman Leonard Boswell today endorsed Hillary Clinton for President.

Boswell, who has served in Congress for the past decade and is a Vietnam veteran, praised Clinton for her 35 years of experience fighting for change.  “Our next leader must have the vision and the know-how to make our country energy independent, bring healthcare to the uninsured and end the war in Iraq,” he said.  “We need someone with the strength and experience to take on the toughest challenges.  We need someone who's got a lifetime record of getting results.  I know just the person: my friend, Hillary Clinton.”

Boswell also called Clinton the most electable candidate in the race.  “The country cannot afford for the Democrats to lose another election.  There’s too much at stake.  She’s the most qualified candidate and has the best chance at winning back the White House.”

Boswell made his endorsement this morning at a news conference with Clinton in Des Moines.  A video announcement was also e-mailed to supporters across Iowa.

“I honored and thrilled to have Congressman Boswell’s support,” Hillary Clinton said. “As the longest serving Iowa Democratic Member of the House, he understands what is most important to Iowans and their families. We share many of the same values and goals for our country; such as restoring America’s standing around the world, ending the war in Iraq and ensuring that every American has health care.”
