New Texas Ad: Hillary Fights For Our Nation’s Service Members

New Texas Ad: Hillary Fights For Our Nation’s Service Members

For far too long, our country’s soldiers have served bravely overseas but are ignored when they return. A new campaign ad to begin airing today in Texas makes clear that Hillary Clinton gives a voice to our nation’s service members, fighting to expand access to health care for the National Guard and pushing to protect bonuses of wounded soldiers.

Hillary has a long history of fighting for veterans, including working to help service members struggling with post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury, and increasing military survivor benefits. Hillary is committed to ensuring our country fulfills its obligations to those who have served and sacrificed for the nation.

Following is the script for the ad.

Hillary For President
"Voice Soldiers"
TV: 30

Announcer: For every soldier who serves so bravely over there but is ignored over here, she hears you.

For every National Guard and Reservist who leaves their family behind, she hears you.

That's why Hillary Clinton reached across the aisle, to expand access to health care for the National Guard, and is pushing to protect the bonuses of wounded soldiers.

She'll never stop fighting for those who fight for us and give voice to those who have
none.

Hillary Clinton: I'm Hillary Clinton and I approve this message.

New Clinton Campaign TV Ad Calls on Senator Obama to Debate Hillary in Wisconsin

New Clinton Campaign TV Ad Calls on Senator Obama to Debate Hillary in Wisconsin

MADISON, WI – Today, Wisconsin for Hillary launched a new 30-second television ad entitled “Debate” asking Sen. Obama why he has not agreed to debate in Wisconsin.

With serious challenges facing the next president of the United States, Wisconsin voters deserve to hear both candidates debate the issues that matter. Hillary Clinton has accepted an invitation to debate at Marquette University in advance of Tuesday’s primary, and is prepared to show she has real solutions for the problems facing residents of the Badger State.

Hillary is the only candidate with a plan to end the housing crisis and help people keep their homes. Hillary's plan takes bold action to stem the tide of foreclosures with a 90-day moratorium on foreclosures and a five year freeze on interest rates for subprime mortgages.

Hillary is also the only candidate with a health care plan that covers every American. Her plan allows for maximum flexibility while making sure health care costs are affordable for working families. Hillary hears the voices of Americans concerned about their future and is focused on providing solutions to the problems they face.

Following is the script for the ad.

"DEBATE"

TV: 30

ANNCR: Both Democratic candidates have been invited to a televised Wisconsin debate.

Hillary Clinton has said yes.

Barack Obama hasn't.

Maybe he'd prefer to give speeches than have to answer questions.

Like why Hillary Clinton has the only health care plan that covers every American, and the only economic plan that freezes foreclosures.

Wisconsin deserves to hear BOTH candidates debate the issues that matter.

And that's...not debatable.

Former Senator John Glenn Endorses Clinton

Former Senator John Glenn Endorses Clinton

Former Ohio Senator and astronaut John Glenn announced his endorsement of Hillary Clinton today.

“With all of the challenges facing Ohio and America, we need a leader who can deliver real solutions on her first day in office,” Senator Glenn said.

“Hillary Clinton will immediately go to work turning around our economy and rebuilding the middle class. She has the strength and experience to take on the Republicans in November and win Ohio and the White House.”

Sen. Glenn was the third American to fly in space aboard the Friendship 7 in 1962, and received the Congressional Space Medal of Honor in 1978. After retiring from NASA, Sen. Glenn served the people of Ohio in the United States Senate from 1974 to 1999, the longest tenure of any Ohio Senator in history.

He began his career as a Marine Corps and Air Force pilot, flying combat missions during World War II and later Korea.

“I am deeply honored to have the support of Senator Glenn, a true American hero,” Clinton said. “With his help, we’ll bring our message of change across Ohio.”

Clinton Campaign to Hit the Wisconsin Airwaves with First TV Ad

Clinton Campaign to Hit the Wisconsin Airwaves with First TV Ad

The Wisconsin for Hillary campaign today announced that it would begin airing its first television ad.  The ad highlights Senator Clinton’s unwavering commitment to improving our health care system and her belief that providing health care is America’s moral obligation.

The 30-second spot, entitled “Obligation,” also emphasizes that Hillary is the only candidate with a plan to provide universal health care for every American. The ad will begin airing statewide today.

Following is the script for the ad.

Announcer:

She fought for universal health care, long before it was popular.  Got health insurance for six million kids and expanded access to health care for the National Guard.

Now, she's the only candidate for President with a plan to provide health care for every American.

A top economist calls Hillary's plan, "the difference between achieving universal health coverage and falling far short."

If you believe health care is America's moral obligation, join her.

Tuesday.  Hillary Clinton.

Clinton Campaign Raises $10 Million Online from 100,000+ Donors

Clinton Campaign Raises $10 Million Online from 100,000+ Donors

The Clinton campaign today announced that it raised $10 million online from more than 100,000 donors since the polls closed on Super Tuesday.

"This is a major development in this race.  Hillary has always had millions of strong supporters nationwide -- now those supporters are begining to give online in large numbers," said Clinton Campaign Internet Director Peter Daou.

The campaign had set a goal of raising $3 million in 3 days -- and exceeded its target in less than a day. The campaign raised more than $4 million online during the first 24 hours after the polls closed in California.

"We are overwhelmed by the response to our fundraising drive and tremendously grateful to our supporters nationwide," said Daou. "In the hours after Super Tuesday's polls closed, contributions began coming in and shortly after Sen. Clinton discussed a loan she had given her campaign in January, there was a massive surge in contributions from small donors across the country. Emails and letters poured in from supporters telling Sen. Clinton that they hadn't realized that she needed their financial support."

"The emails ranged from a conservative veteran who wrote to say that he, his wife and daughters all contributed to the campaign, to a couple who decided to forego their Valentine's dinner to send a donation. With more than a million volunteer hours committed and millions of dollars donated to Sen. Clinton’s campaign, our grassroots supporters are the backbone of our campaign. We cannot thank them enough for standing with Sen. Clinton every step of the way and we know we can rely on them to carry us to victory.”

Maryland, Virginia, And DC Superdelegates Endorse Hillary

The Clinton campaign announced today that it has the support of 25 superdelegates in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Colombia.  The list of supporters includes 21 Democratic National Committee (DNC) members, including Barbara Easterling of Virginia who pledged her support to Hillary today, as well as, Governor Martin O’Malley, U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski, and Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger.

“DNC members have an important role to play in this nominating process.  The Democratic party’s nomination process is strong because it takes into account the voices of the grassroots activists, the diversity of our party, and the view of elected officials and party leaders,” said Easterling.  “I am proud to endorse Hillary Clinton, because she has the experience to solve the problems our country faces.  She will end the war in Iraq, provide health care for all Americans, fix our economy, and bring about the change we need.”

“I am honored to have the support of Barbara and all the DNC members and elected officials who will have a voice at our national convention,” said Clinton.  “I am confident that we will have a great convention and that we will send a strong candidate into the general election campaign.  I look forward to being that candidate and as President, will work with the people of Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC to move our country forward.”

NEW AD: Hillary Clinton Launches Ad in Washington State Touting Commitment to Universal Health Care

NEW AD: Hillary Clinton Launches Ad in Washington State Touting Commitment to Universal Health Care

In a new ad going on the air today in Washington state, Hillary Clinton makes clear that she is the ONLY candidate for President – Democrat or Republican – with a plan to provide universal health care for every American.

The 30-second spot, entitled “Happen,” comes two days before Washington voters go to caucus on February 9th.

The ad describes Hillary’s efforts to pass universal health care in the 1990s and her perseverance in championing the Children’s Health Insurance Program that now covers more than 6 million kids a year. It also talks about her successful efforts to push drug companies to lower the cost of vaccinations.

Following is the script for the ad.

“Happen”

TV :30

Announcer: She fought for universal health care, long before it was popular.

Championed the bill that gave six million kids health insurance

…and pushed the drug companies to lower the cost of vaccinations.

Now, she’s the only candidate for President –Democrat or Republican– with a plan to provide health care for every American.

Just one reason why she's earned the support of Senators Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell.

Because health care is a moral obligation, not a privilege.

Saturday. Caucus for Hillary.
