Senator Barbara Boxer to Campaign in Shakopee for Obama
Senator Boxer will open one of 6 New Obama Campaign for Change Offices in the State
ST. PAUL – U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, the Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Ethics will campaign in Shakopee, Minnesota, today, opening one of 6 new campaign offices across the state. Several of the new offices are located in traditionally Republican areas where Democratic Presidential candidates have not successfully contended in recent elections.
Senator Boxer will speak to volunteers and supporters at the new Campaign for Change office, helping to build a groundswell of local support for the campaign’s upcoming massive Get Out the Vote operation.
“Senator Boxer has been a tireless advocate for working Americans over her distinguished career in the Senate. She will be a strong voice to highlight the stark contrast between Senator Obama’s plans to restore the economy and John McCain’s offer of more of the same failed Bush policies of the last eight years,” Minnesota State Director Jeff Blodgett said.
“With Get Out the Vote just around the corner, the new office openings show our ambitious ground game is strong, and growing.”
