GREENVILLE MAYOR STANDS WITH JOHN MCCAIN
ARLINGTON, VA - U.S. Senator John McCain's presidential campaign today announced that Greenville Mayor Knox White will support the Arizona Senator's presidential candidacy.
Earlier this month, Greenville residents overwhelmingly re-elected White to what will be his fourth term as mayor. White is largely credited with the successful revitalization of downtown Greenville, forwarding innovative neighborhood redevelopment policies, and creating a pro-business environment that encourages economic growth.
"Our nation's next president must be a common sense conservative leader who has the courage and character to offer up the tough solutions, even when they may not be politically expedient," said White. "John McCain's service, experience, and commitment to our conservative cause make him the best qualified to lead our nation as we face the challenges of tomorrow."
Senator John McCain said he welcomed the support from White. "Knox is widely recognized across the nation for his vibrant leadership as mayor of Greenville and the city's downtown revitalization is a wonderful success story," said Senator McCain. "I am truly honored that to have his support and I look forward to working with him."
