ALABAMA MAYORS STAND WITH JOHN MCCAIN
ARLINGTON, VA – U.S. Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign today announced that 21 mayors from across Alabama have agreed to join Alabama Mayors for McCain and help build the campaign’s grassroots network in their communities.
The mayors join several members of the Alabama legislature, former Republican Party leaders, and other influential community figures who have already publicly signed on to Senator McCain’s team in the state.
Senator John McCain said he recognized the importance of having local support. “These local leaders and elected officials have earned the respect and support of voters in communities across Alabama,” said Senator McCain. “Our campaign will look to each of these mayors for their advice and guidance, and I appreciate their efforts in spreading our message of common sense conservatism.”
