ANNAPOLIS -- Diana Waterman, Chair of the Maryland Republican Party, is pleased to announce that Congressman Paul Ryan is slated to be the speaker at the annual Red, White, and Blue Dinner to be held on June 20, 2013.
Mrs. Waterman said, "I am delighted Congressman Paul Ryan has accepted our invitation to join us for the Red, White, and Blue Dinner. Martin O'Malley and Chris Van Hollen can learn a lesson or two from Congressman Ryan's leadership. While Democrats in Maryland have raised taxes over 40 times to pay for a government that is out of control, Congressman Ryan and his recent budget entitled the "Path to Prosperity" restores economic freedom, changes Washington's culture of spending, and fulfills America's commitment to our seniors. It will be refreshing to hear from a reformer who can help Maryland Republicans before the 2014 elections."
Congressman Paul Ryan is the United States Representative for Wisconsin's 1st congressional district and currently serves as the chairman of the House Budget Committee. He resides in Janesville, Wisconsin with his family. Congressman Ryan was the Republican Party nominee for Vice President of the United States in 2012.
