LAKE JACKSON, Texas – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul will hold a major rally in Kansas City, Missouri to energize voters in the run-up to the Show-Me State’s March 17th caucus.  The rally will take place the evening of Saturday, February 18th.

BELLEVUE, Washington – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was endorsed today by Clint Didier, a former NFL Washington Redskins tight end, Eltopia-area farmer, and 2010 Tea Party-backed conservative Republican U.S. Senate candidate.
 
In making his public endorsement, Mr. Didier issued the following statement:
 
“I believe the next President of the United States needs to be a defender of America protecting and maintaining her sovereignty, one who understands the worldwide economic crisis we face and first and foremost demonstrates he has America’s interest at heart.  The next president must understand what constitutes a free market, be willing to stand tall against powerful lobbying interests, and have the courage to fight for a sound monetary policy, fiscal sanity, and individual liberty.
 
“As an American farmer yearning for strong constitutional leadership, I see Ron Paul as a loyal disciple of our founding fathers who gave us the opportunity to experience life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  He has displayed integrity and adherence to our Constitution for 30 years.  I have found no other presidential candidate so disciplined.”
 
Mr. Didier was born and raised on a farm in Eltopia in Franklin County, Washington.  Raised with a strong work ethic he carried onto the football field, he joined the NFL to play for the Washington Redskins and Green Bay Packers.  His football career brought him to the field of Super Bowl XVII and Super Bowl XXII.  In Super Bowl XXII, he scored the final touchdown for the Redskins in the second quarter of their 35-point game, and was the leading receiver in Super Bowl XVIII.
 
Closing his career in professional football with two Super Bowl wins under his belt, he established a successful farm, and has given back to his community ever since as a football coach at Connell High School.  He eventually made the decision in 2010 to run as a candidate for U.S. Senate, and still lives in “Hell to Pay” Eltopia with his wife of 30 years working the farm and helping his community.

BOISE, Idaho – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was endorsed today by Idaho State Representative Phil Hart (R-Hayden).  Representing the 3rd District, Rep. Hart serves an area comprising Hayden and the northern part of Kootenai County including parts of Coeur d’Alene.

For the second presidential election in a row, State Representative Phil Hart has endorsed 12- term Texas Congressman Ron Paul for president.

According to Rep. Hart, “Ron Paul is the only candidate who understands our economic problems.  He is also the only frontrunner candidate who is not propped up by those who have caused our economic demise.”

With regard to Dr. Paul’s foreign policy, Rep. Hart said, “Those Americans who understand our foreign policy the best, our active military men and women, support Ron Paul overwhelmingly.  America needs a paradigm shift, and Ron Paul is the only candidate for President who can deliver on that.”

Mr. Hart is owner of an engineering company licensed to perform structural engineering in 14 states and two Canadian provinces.  He graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the University of Utah and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  Mr. Hart is a proud member of Gun Owners of America and the National Rifle Association, and is active in the chamber of commerce.
 
Rep. Hart is currently serving his fourth term in the Idaho House of Representatives.

BELLEVUE, Washington – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was endorsed today by Washington State Representative Matt Shea (R-Spokane Valley).  Representing the 4th District, Rep. Shea serves an area that includes Liberty Lake, Otis Orchards, and Spokane Valley.
 
In making his public endorsement, Rep. Shea issued the following statement:
 
“Ron Paul is right.  A bloated, out of control, unaccountable federal government and Federal Reserve threatens the very existence of our Republic.  America needs a dramatic change in direction...not mere talk.  For 24 years Republican Ron Paul has consistently practiced what he preaches – lower taxes, less government, and more freedom.

Matt Shea is a practicing attorney in Spokane Valley.  He is a graduate of Gonzaga University and cum Laude graduate of Gonzaga Law School.  Matt is a decorated United States Army combat veteran having served two tours overseas, including eight months in Bosnia as a platoon leader, and 11 months in Baghdad as a company commander.  He was named "Rookie Legislator of the Year" in 2009 by the Everett Herald and is a leader in the Tenth Amendment movement.

BELLEVUE, Washington – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was endorsed today by Spokane County Treasurer Rob Chase.
 
Spokane County is the fourth most populous in the state, with the city of Spokane being the second most populous in the state, comprising over 600,000 Washingtonians in the metro area.

In making public his endorsement, Mr. Chase issued the following statement.

“It is customary that just before a great nation collapses God will send a prophet who implores the people to turn back before it is too late.  Today America's modern day prophet is Rep. Ron Paul from Texas.  I endorse Ron Paul because he is the one Presidential contender who can lead us back to the America that was meant to be.

“The message of Ron Paul is one of liberty and we need liberty to live meaningful lives.  We are on the brink of losing liberty for ourselves and our children.  Therefore, I heartily endorse Ron Paul for President.”

Mr. Chase was elected Spokane County Treasurer in 2011, an office providing service to about 80 regional governmental entities such as county, transit, school, fire, cemetery, airport, water, and more according to the Spokane County website.

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Tonight the campaign of 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul sent an email to supporters regarding today’s caucus results from the state of Maine. See below for a portion of comments from Ron Paul 2012 Campaign Manager John Tate.
 
“Ron Paul will win the most delegates out of Maine tonight. 
 
“In fact, he will probably even win the ‘beauty contest’ straw poll the media has already called for Mitt Romney – even before all the votes have been tallied.
 
“In Washington County – where Ron Paul was incredibly strong – the caucus was delayed until next week just so the votes wouldn’t be reported by the national media today.
 
“Of course, their excuse for the delay was ‘snow.’
 
“That’s right.  A prediction of 3-4 inches – that turned into nothing more than a dusting - was enough for a local GOP official to postpone the caucuses just so the results wouldn’t be reported tonight.
 
“This is MAINE we’re talking about. The GIRL SCOUTS had an event today in Washington County that wasn’t cancelled!
 
“And just the votes of Washington County would have been enough to put us over the top.

“This is an outrage. But our campaign is in this race to win, and will stay in it to the very end.
 
“Congressman Paul’s message of liberty and Constitutional principles is resonating with Americans everywhere who are sick and tired of the status quo establishment, and we plan to take this campaign on to ‘Super Tuesday’ and beyond.”

Ron Paul Victory in Maine! “We are confident we will control the Maine delegation for the convention in August”

FALMOUTH, Maine – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul has scored a strong finish in the Maine presidential caucuses. Paul gained over 36 percent of the vote in the ‘Pine Tree’ state, being barely nudged out by eventual winner Gov. Mitt Romney who pulled in a little over 38 percent.

Paul performed well throughout the state, although his campaign’s stronghold of Washington County did not report today for inexplicable reasons. Congressman Paul was barely bested by Gov. Romney by about 194 votes, a margin the campaign is confident it will make up with the 200 plus votes expected to come out of Washington County’s caucus.

“Today’s results show once again that Congressman Paul’s campaign for liberty and a return to Constitutional principles is strong and growing,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton. “We are confident that we will control the Maine delegation for the convention in August. Our campaign is so thankful to all of our supporters in Maine, and all over the nation, and we want them to know that we plan to take this message all the way to the White House.”

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Today the Republican Party of Iowa elected Ron Paul Campaign Iowa Vice-chair A.J. Spiker to be its new state chairman.
 
Spiker, a small business owner from Ames, is a former Chairman, Co-Chairman, and Treasurer of the Story County Republican party.  He has been a delegate to several county, district, and state GOP conventions and served on his district Executive, Rules, and Organization committees. Mr. Spiker also served as the 4th Congressional District State Central Committee member.
