WASHINGTON -- Today, the Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) announced that it will be providing unprecedented livestream video coverage of official events during the weekend of the 57th Presidential Inauguration. The livestream will provide Americans with the opportunity to take part in Inaugural events from anywhere in the country.
“This will truly be America’s Inaugural celebration,” said PIC Executive Director David Cusack. “Inviting folks from across the country to join us online is one more way we’re working to make sure all Americans can share in a moment of history.”
The following events will be livestreamed at www.2013pic.org/live and on the official PIC smartphone app: the official swearing-in ceremony on Sunday; the ceremonial swearing-in on Monday; the Inaugural Parade on Monday afternoon and The Commander-in-Chief Ball on Monday night. The Kids’ Inaugural on Saturday evening will be streamed only at www.2013pic.org/live.
The livestream coverage is an example of the many social media tools the 2013 PIC is using to engage all Americans in the hard work of shaping our future. People can also find service events around the country with our mobile app and promote the National Day of Service on Twitter with the hashtag #iserve.
