DES MOINES, Iowa– The Republican Party of Iowa released the following statement from Iowa GOP Chairman A.J. Spiker congratulating Governor Mitt Romney on officially being nominated for president at the Republican National Convention earlier this afternoon:
"Congratulations to Governor Romney on officially being nominated for president today at the Republican National Convention in Tampa. The Republican Party of Iowa will work tirelessly to ensure that Iowa's six electoral votes go to Governor Romney in November. Working together we will we be able to unite the Party and elect Mitt Romney to the White House."
