Former Speaker Newt Gingrich to Host Policy Classes for Delegates
Tampa, FL - Delegates to the Republican National Convention will have the chance to attend workshops in Tampa designed to support and expound upon the overall messages of the convention, CEO William Harris announced today.
Former U.S. Speaker of the House and one-time college professor Newt Gingrich will host Newt University, a series of public policy workshops for delegates to brush up on the policy and U.S. history behind the GOP platform. Newt U seminars will support and expound upon the overall daily convention themes in greater detail and give delegates an opportunity to dive deeper into those issues.
"The goal is to prepare the American people with the facts to dispel myths and misinformation," Harris said. "Speaker Gingrich is one of our party's most effective communicators, which is why he was asked to lead this effort."
Speaker Newt Gingrich will teach the daily sessions. The classes are open to the media and other activists and party officials attending the convention. Details on topics and speakers are still being finalized, but attendees should expect to hear from GOP elected officials, thought leaders and citizens who are leaders in their communities and in their industry.
